All I want for Christmas

Nobody is entirely sure when Christmas became less about the birth of Jesus, being selfless and appreciating loved ones (although this all still exists, it remains in small quantities and mainly on Christmas Eve) and more about presents, 'wish-lists' and getting drunk on mulled wine.

However, it appears in the 21st Century the most important things about Christmas involve big department stores (Liberty's, Harrods and Selfridges remain my favourites) and their extremely festive spirit - and christmas window displays. They love cooing over what you have bought and must take some sort of pleasure by attacking you with perfumes on entering their rose-tinted, glossed over, 'isn't life a ball' esque world.

This is far from a complaint - and seeing as I took a rather festive trip to Oxford Street this morning, I've decided to compile a small wish list of gifts I would love Santa to place on the foot of my bed come December 25th. (NB: I say wish list because some - actually all - of the following items are so far out of my price range I'd have to sell a member of my family on the black market to attain any of said garments. BOO.)

My favourite website to peruse these desires is normally http://www.net-a-porter.com/ however I've had time to browse so here are my top items that I will crave for a least a month before I forget about the overpriced commodoties that will never grace my wardrobe and head to Urban Outfitters to buy a top that I'll see three girls trying on at the same time, one other girl buying and at least six girls on my Christmas Eve night out actually wearing. Here are my seven sins for December. Oh joy. Merry Christmas.

One.

Two. 
Little Black Dress.

Three.

Miu Miu. Embellished wool crepe skirt. Fierce.

Four. Lanvin. Birthday Canvas Tote. The first canvas bag I have seen over £465...Hmm. Beautiful.

Five. Yves Saint Laurent. I wouldn't even care if this was my wedding ring. In fact, I would marry the man who bought this for me. In both colours.

WOW.

Six. Miu Miu. Perfection.

 

Seven.

3.1 Phillip Lim. Studden leather gloves. An investment. I'm in love.

 

This list could go on. These probably aren't even my favourite things on the list. I've racked up an imaginary bill over over £15,000. Where's my boyfriend with his black AMEX.
