REISS LOVE \\ LOVE REISS

I am a fan of

Probably because they are a little bit classier than Topshop, I like their colour palette this season so far and oh yeah, I work there (diiissscccooouunntt.)

As it has been decided I am spending the majority of my summer in IBIZA and will be showered in the hot hot heat (hell to the yeah) I have decided to already begin picking my FAVOURITE summer looks.

I will be a playsuit whore no doubt. But my favourite bits from Reiss so far look like............

Now, I'm not a huge fan of wedges but in recent years, seeing as I cannot wear my black leather boots in summer and I think stilettos in summer are a little bit tacky, (unless you are donning them on a yatch), the wedge is the perfect alternative.
Still in keeping with a rock vibe and not overly 'chic' and 'girlie' these wedges will do the job perfectly...

I can imagine wearing this navy dress with a pair of gold sandals and my oversized white blazer.

These 'Phoebe' shorts come in tango orange and navy, and I have been umming and aahhing over exactly which colour is best...and as I already own a pair of French Connection navy shorts and Ibiza is all about colour...I think my choice is pretty clear. I'm going to wear these with a Reiss pocketed simple white tee.

I am also going to develop a rather large fetish for oversized blazors over feminine dresses (classic) this summer and what better to feed my addiction....

And finally, a loose fitted blouse with the Patti jeans and a trademark trilby.

How many days until summer
?

I will confess all of my sins after several large gins.....

I don't know what it is exactly ...

maybe the fact playing guitar is really sexy...or something..

but there is definately a little (bbbiiiiigg) something about /musicians/rockstars/men with swagger (ahem, ..Mick Jaaagggeeer..?)

BUT they are pretty.damn.FIT.

Bottoms up.

I think you will agree by now.
Thought so. Thankyou.

(And no, Jamie T didn't make the cut. Sorry.)

Chakrabarti's Charm

I wish I could draw. I mean, I can draw, but I can't draw. Just like most people can sing but they can't get 85 million hits on Youtube the first time they go public. People can dance but they can't choreograph moves that'll get Jennifer Lopez or Beyonce quaking in their Louboutins.
People can also cook but they aren't even close in trying to create fake candles made out of white chocolate and edible cutlery (props to Heston).

Anyway, my point here is that even my doodles look like a drunk toddler who is clutching at the pencil with her mouth....]#
Nina Chakrabarti's do not look remotely like mine. They are a little bit (a hell of a lot) more sophisticated and fun.Yes, FUN/.

<------------- This one is from 'Voodoo Dolls' part of a collection of doodles Chakrabarti did for 'I Want You' Magazine. Here are some more..........................................yah yah VERY GOOD.

So is this one...and a couple more.

Her doodles are tongue-in-cheek. Simple but effective. Laughable. Enjoyable. Stupid and lovely.

'My Wonderful World Of Fashion' - Chakrabarti created a drawing book for young girls.

(Maybe if something like this had been around when I was a little girl, my predilection/fondness
for drawing would be finer tuned, no?)

Alongside doodling on magazines, Chakrabarti has also designed posters for Marks & Spencer, illustrated book covers, designed product labels for 'Cowshed' and reinvented the Map...to make it look less boring and more exciting...

If only we all had the ability to make our doodles look like something that should be admired or framed. I guess all there is left to do is keep twisting my biro, (maybe in my right hand to shake things up) and see what I come up with.
Or maybe stop..........
And just look at Nina's.
Probably (obviously) the latter.
