what glitters is gold

Brrr. It's cold in here.
It's only just the turn of summer. We are all finally braving open toe footwear (I've had my pedicure), and I'm sort of coming to terms with the fact that leggings will probably no longer suffice on those rare hot summer days (sob).

Alas, in the fashion world Summer has been and gone. No, instead its autumn. By the time I will have completed my summer wardrobe it will be time to say bye to the Ray-Bans and culottes and hello to the balaclavas (I hear they're the Autumns Clog. Joy. Not.) and snoods.

Key AW trends have been selected. Take your pick from a varied selection such as ruffles, pleatings and quilting ( for detail) gold, oranges and purples (colour) capes (YES), waistcoats and mid calf skirts (garments) graphic, animal, stripes and tribal (prints) and volume (silhouettes)...

(are you keeping up?)

however, drum roll please for my favourite AW trend. Embellishment. (It's almost like the 80s never died.)

Here are a selection of AW10 Catwalk looks that I want to fall into my lap.

Just COS

beCOS beCOS beCOS beCOS

I always used to think Cos was a bit simple. A bit square. Their new collection is just that. But in a very, very delightful way. Full of simple silhouettes complimented by sharp edging and a smooth colour palette, this season Cos has successfully stomped all over uber high-street competitors Reiss, Whistles and Comptoir, to make Cos the most delictable shop on the market. Rightly so.

BB and her FluroMonks

"Through her multifaceted work, Blandine Bardeau explores the boundaries between fashion and fine art, focusing on creating her own worlds and stories. Colourful mixtures of semi-human/ semi-animal baboonesque creatures populate her drawings, clothes and jewellery, her art carries the modern funky spirits of a colourful imagination, questioning the boundaries that prevent us from being ourselves. "

Here is her 'Fluorescent Monkeys' collection, the first solo exhibition by the French artist/designer.

Her drawings will be exhibited in Paris on the 24th of March 2010 in "Garage de Turenne" as part of an exhibition organized by Converse featuring 8 young artists from all over the world.

BURB

All I want
A close second
Very good contenders
I'd settle for any.

Happy its sunny? Yes. Happy for the winter winds? With these coats? bring it.
"Woah. Don't wanna get in a fight with you tonight"

Is what my friends tend to say a lot when I decide to wack out the "largest ring in the world" aka my boulder. Statement/Costume jewellery has also never failed to keep me happy.
Top three of the moment are all from Pebble. They are my new jewellery loves.
